September 16, 2006 - TSV turns FIVE!! By Virus Evocative.
It has been another year of success. It has been tough but nevertheless the committed Viruses came together to train hard and work towards our visions. The much anticipated anniversary and award party was held at the idyllic Raffles Town Club. It was a weekend of mad skating, feasting, singing, gyming and most of all, gathering of all the mad Viruses to award them for their effort. Upon entering our 2 Straits Suites, everyone quickly settled down and marked their territory. Baby Virus immediately attacked the alluring Jacuzzi with much gutso. The arrangement of prizes was another fanfare. While some were comfortably enjoying the air-conditioning along with the nice Cable TV channels, others were busy checking out the facilities and took pleasure in an afternoon welcome cocktail. The buffet spread at the restaurant was fantastic - International assortment of fine dining fit for the king. As for the Viruses, they just ate like crazy and Virus Wu Di Dung won the "Biggest stomach contest". You cannot imagine the amount of food they had and the amount of noises they made as their infectious laughter could be heard throughout the restaurant. After the sumptuous dinner, Viruses ran up to the suites as the Award party commenced. Vain Viruses never fail to capture their ever ready glamour smiles by the speedy digitals - Snap Snap Snap!!! :P I've long come to the conclusion that Viruses can skate, they can sing, can swim, can boogie, can eat and know how to pose too. Excuse me, are you a model? Looking at the Award and Prizes that were laid out on the table, I couldn't help but feel a sense of kinship pride towards this Virus family. We have certainly come a long way and God has been really good to us. Every award speaks depth about the recipient, which in turn speaks depth about the team.
Congratulations to all the Viruses that have worked hard and achieved their goals. Special congrats to all the recipients:
Towards the end of the award presentation, Virus 003 hopped onto the stage to present a special award to our dear Captain with touching words of encouragement and appreciation. The team would not have survived without our dear Captain Lady Speedster - Jenn Lui. My spunky sister who would give her best to nurture the potentials in these kool athletes. On behalf of the team, we would like to thank you for all your never ending care and concern towards the team, if it is not for you we would not be where we are. "Happy Birthday to us… Happy Birthday to us… Happy Birthday to TSV… Happy Birthday to us…!!!!!" Yeah…!!! TSV is Five!!! The September birthday twins Viruses KP and Orange were given their birthday wishes from the team too. With that, the greedy Viruses cut up the cake and indulged themselves with the yummy, creamy and oozing chocolate cake. Yummy….!!! How can this event end without one of our fav outings? It was time for our super midnight skate. Part one route:
At 2am, Viruses were doing their freestyle and figure skating at Esplanade. Where did they get the energy? I just don't know. Part two route:
"Aiyo, nightskate also chiong like this…. Mad ah… mad ah…." "Floor so slippery, downhill dash was very exciting leh…" "I want to do this kind of training every day!!" - Virus Small Girl immediately got knocked on the helmet by the gals. "I am HUNGRY!!" - guess who said this? The next day: Virus TT came early in the morning and woke the sleepy Viruses from their cozy slumber. While some Viruses joined him for another sumptuous breakfast, I slept right through and almost didn't make it for check out! Thank you Viruses for making all these possible with your hard work and commitment. Thank you God for this wonderful Virus family.
