December 29, 2006 - Christmas/Thanksgiving Party
By Virus Lady Speedster.
Thank you for another fantastic year in Speed skating. On behalf of Team SpeedVirus, a big Thank You to all the friends and supporters for their trust and faith in us. We shall continue to work hard.
Thank you God for so many wonderful blessings - World Championships 2006, World Inline Cup 2006, National Team 2006, Charity Bike & Blade 2006, TCS Charity Flag Day, Speed Race League 2006, all the races, time trials, skates to Malaysia, crazy urban skates, round island skates, friends, bonding... It's time to give thanks to each other and celebrate!
Crazy Viruses and friends were busy greeting and hugging each other, getting lucky with the "Fantastic" Prizes, getting twisted in a pile of Human cyclone and of course ever ready chomping down Honey Baked Ham, Roasted Turkey, Sumptuous Satays, Thick Dark Chocolate Fondue, Lemak Curry, Delicious Pasta, Cool Wine, Mocha/Caramel Log cake, Curry Puffs, Fruits, Salads, Chicken of the roasted, baked, curried and grilled kind...
Lucky draw prize winners were blessed with washing machine, sunshine bed, cross-trainers, fitness equipment, cruise round the world, massage system, etc... Big thanks to our kind sponsors!! Kekee...
As screams and laughter were heard throughout the night, many were spotted jumping up and down and almost rolling on the floors trying to hold in their effervescent hilarity and jiggery stomachs or content in their bladders... Hahaaaa...
All the excitement proved too much for Babies Caitlin and Ethan as they stared at the adults with their dazzling round eyes, and still couldn't tear themselves away from the sparkling twinklets on the huge formidable Christmas tree.
"We wish you a Merry Christmas..." Everyone turned to join in the chorus as our choir gals serenade with the Mocha/Caramel Log cake. It was a beautiful sight. The party continued into the night as wine and beer were seen topped into each other's glasses.
With contented stomachs and arms full of presents, goodies and prizes, Viruses and friends bid each other good night as they sway their way out of the warmth of the lodge onto the chill of the night.
Many thanks to each and everyone who has contributed to the success of this Thanksgiving celebration. Thanksgiving is not just the spirit of Christmas, it should be in our grateful heart to thank God for His blessings all these years, for watching over every training, every race, every time trial and every event. Thank you Viruses for your spirit of commitment and focus. Until next time... God bless!
