November 26, 2006 - TSV Time Trial - Amazing Race By Virus Seal.
It's amazing that I am writing this in the air onboard my flight out of Singapore right after an exhilarating morning of high adrenaline rush time trials as a member of Team SpeedVirus. Congratulations to all that have attended the time trials today as we smoothly and safely completed yet another time trial. We first started off the day with some house keeping, preparations, sweeping of the race track, placing of cones and warm-ups. Then it was the briefing and prayers for safety before we started to sprint into action. The mid-sprint was no doubt just like a really short sprint in any of TSV's training. However, as soon as the first group of two races off from the start line, the race environment and tension in any Formula-One race we have witnessed on the broadcast begin setting in. HUH!!!!!! Every Virus was so fast that before I knew it, was standing on the line for the second event. Just how do they do that?? Long-sprint was, in my point of view, the most action packed event. First it was Virus Croxx doing a high speed cornering with his wheels barely a few mm away from the road kerb (you all know what I am trying to say if you watch how the animated character Takumi negotiate his corners in Initial D :. Virus Wes was doing fine until he lost control and started spinning off at the same corner that Virus Croxx had encountered earlier - the challenging and deadly turn. As for me, I just focused to finish standing up at the shortest possible time. Lastly it was the most highly anticipated team time trial. As soon as everyone was split into their respective teams, all team leaders begin their own quiet discussion on the strategy for the race at their own corner. Hmm… "Battle of the wits eh?" At the start line were the first two teams led by Virus Coolzone and Virus JCskater who dashed off at the sound of the beep. Their strategies seem to work as each team huffed and puffed their way through every corner. After the next two teams completed their race, it was clear that you need the brains as well as the brawn to win the day as Virus Coolzone led his team to success, followed closely by Virus Bear's team. The screams from the effervescent gals proved too much for the last team as they were heard squealing their way through. The time trial ended with debriefing by our well-respected team captain Pretty Lady Speedster (I guess she'll be smiling at this remark… Haha!), as everyone went home with a meaningful morning of pumped up endorphin. *BEEP* Ok, the fasten seatbelt warning has come on, hope that it isn't any heavy turbulence, pray for me to return home safe people. See you soon…. |
