In the early Sunday morning sun,
Viruses awake for their monthly time trial run.
21km is the distance for the day,
With rubbish laid out along the way.

Despite the smell and stench we had,
And mind you it was really bad,
We still pushed with all we had.

Just as we were about to start,
We realized others also had the heart,
To train hard hard hard,
For NISM was about to start.

Strategies and tactics my teammates devised,
To help each other to rise,
Above the fastest in the team,
They all sought to beat.

At the end of the day,
Push as we all may,
It still came down to a sprint finish,
But finish the distance we all did.

It was much closer among the girls,
Who worked together in their own world.
Coming to the finish line,
Jenn said "The victory is mine!"

And so we move on to fight again,
Towards NISM we all aim,
To be the best that we can be,
Working hard always like a bee.
